Using Computer-to-Plate technology we can streamline the prepress process, for faster turnaround, quicker make-ready, and superior quality plates. We use the same "RIP-once" file to output to both the digital proofer and platesetter, which guarantees more predictable results. And we save time by skipping the film, as well as the contact proof stages.
Advantages of CTP:

- Easier correction cycles, up to the last minute
- Proofs to match press
- Cleaner plates, due to thermal imaging
- Plates are first-generation, with no dust particles or other defects otherwise caused by contact printing from film
- Wide array of resolutions and screen rulings, including custom
- Maintains a finer and clean dot, for vivid details, greater contrast, and superior image quality
- Predictable dot gain
- Can put more ink on the paper
- Customized inline punch - register is a perfect fit, and allows for easy and precise repeatability
- Ability to respond to changes in the job specs or target press
- Greater flexibility in press scheduling
- Less downtime on press for remakes, etc.
